Product Showcase #1: We developed an end to end GPS & GSM based BLE based tracking system for a client based in Delhi which will be deployed across facrories. Background: Assest tracking is a continously growing field and with increasing trade & commerce, sophistication in supply chain demands assest tracking solutions which are completely failure proof. RFID is commonly used for assest tracking but it serves a major drawback: The concept of Anti-collision. In simple words, if two RFID tags are taken near a RFID reader, none of them will be read. This could lead to theft and other problems and hence we had to overcome this problem upfront. For that reason, we went with the latest BLE beacon technology with consisted of BLE tags which when taken near the BLE reader (in pictures) would scan the beacon and would send the gps location of the reader via gsm/sim card module to a remote database which could be monitored from anywhere in the world.
